I have given some thought to the DNA testing, but havn't quite gotten that far yet. :) My ancestor, Jeremiah Bowles was born abt 1816 in Franklin Co, VA and was md to Mary Ann Waldon. They moved to Putnam Co, VA/WV by the 1850 census. There was an elder Jeremiah Bowles in Franklin Co, and he was md to Elizabeth Martin. The Giles Co Historical book says that my Jeremiah was the s/o Joseph and Elizabeth - not the elder Jeremiah.
