Also his sister was living with the family. See list at bottom of this message. Most of the material below can be found on the Genealogy Trails Chautauqua County, Kansas web site. http://genealogytrails.com/kan/chautauqua/ Please go there and just type in Simmons in the search engine window. Also material for other surnames Conley, Garrels, Boles, etc., can be found using the search engine. Some of it might be of use to you. Found marriage certificates for Ollie, m. J. C. Conley in 1887, Chautauqua county, KS. Ida m. Charles Garrels in 1887, Osage Agency. Dora m. Sterling B. Boles in 1891, Osage Nation. Emma m. William N. Boles in 1891, Osage Nation. Lulu m. William H. Merrick in 1891, Osage Nation. Also Lulu m. Joshua W. Stephens in 1893, Indian Territory, could be same Lulu if first husband died. Or, the first marriage never took place as the marriage certificate was not returned to the Chautauqua County court house for recording. If you would like copies of the above marriage certificates I can send them to you free of charge via an email attachment. Please let me know. It appears as if the family moved to Oklahoma in the mid to late 1880s and you would be better served by seeking them in Oklahoma after that 1880 time frame. However, many of the Boles family are buried in the Elgin cemetery so evidently they lived very close to the Kansas/Oklahoma border.
