Hi list, I wanted to let everyone know that my uncle has submitted a DNA test for the Bowles project. I will copy below a chart that traces my uncle back to our earliest known Bowles ancestor -- Benjamin Bowles d. abt 1844 in Montgomery Co. NC. It would be great if we could get more NC Bowles lines into the database so we could check the probabilities of any of these lines being connected. Some other major NC lines include: 1. The Wm. Bowles line in Stokes Co., NC 2. The John Bowles line in Surry Co., NC 3. The Sarah Bowles line in Caswell Co., NC 4. The John Bartley Bowles line in Iredell Co., NC 5. The Robert Bowles line in Moore Co., NC 6. The Thomas Bowles line in Orange Co., NC 7. The John Bowles line in Orange Co., NC If you know of a male Bowles descendant of any of these lines, please let that person know about the DNA project. Also, I would really like to find a descendant of the William Bowles/Booles (m. Sally Bivens) line of Wilkes Co. GA to participate in the DNA project. I am pretty certain that this William Bowles was brother of my ancestor Benjamin. Hello, I'm a male. My ggg grandmother was Sarah Bowles, b: Abt 1775, m: John Hicks, b: Abt 1754. My Hicks line went thru Va., Ohio, Ks., and then Ok. Would this test give me any idea of who my Sarah Bowles parent's were? If so, I would be willing to provide a sample. How much would it cost and where do I get the Kit?
