Thomas Phillip Bowles family came to Barren Co, KY before Elijah Bowles came to Barren Co. Thomas Phillip was born 1748 and Elijah born 1751. They could be brothers. Thomas Phillip died in Hanover Co 1795, Sarah left Hanover Co about 1802 with the family. What I have a problem with is this Goochland Co,Va marriage record and the first three or four children listed as Thomas and Sarah children? Are they Elijah's children by a first marriage? These children were in the company of Sarah during their stay in Barren Co. William Bowles and Valencia Branch were married to other people before they married in Henrico Co, VA, May 24, 1802.Virlynch Branch m. Charles Gill, April 24, 1788. Henrico Co, VA. and had a son Edward Gill.
