"His heart was in the Hills of Tennessee and his home in the Pacific Northwest." He was the son of Paul and Pauline (Jeffers) Dyer. He was survived by his wife, Marguerite; son, Michael Dyer of Portland, Or.; daughter, Kellie Dyer of San Diego, Va., his sister Frankie (Benton) Jeffers and nieces and nephews of Albany, In.; sister, Nick (Casey) Williamson; nephews of Franklin, Tx.; and nieces and nephews of Georgia; good friend, Mike Allen; Neil Walker; Karl and Tonjia. He was preceded in death by brother, Glenn Dyer. A celebration for Bobbie will be held at his home in Poulsbo, Wa. He was the son of the late Elmer Posey and Tempa Cross Posey. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 5669 of Oneida and American Legion Post #115 of Stearns, Ky. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition of his parents he was preceded in death by Elmer Posey and Tempa Cross Posey; one son, Dwayne Posey; one sister, Lovetta Laxton. He is survived by three sons, Steve and Scott Posey of Helenwood, Mark Posey and wife Barbara of Sunbright; one daughter, Gina Ruthford and husband Darrell of Jacksboro; two brothers, Archie Posey and wife, Harriette of Eaglewood, O., Denny Posey and wife Joy of Oneida; two sisters, Jerri Dobbs and husband Jim of Murfreesboro, Maryilyn Jeffers of Clinton; eight grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; including a special friend Jim Carson. Funeral services were conducted May 29 at 3 p.m.! at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Cecil Babb and Bro. Bob Staten officiating. BERTHA MILLER CHITWOOD, 60, passed away on May 26 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, She was the daughter of the late John Miller and Kathleen Boyatt Miller. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one infant brother, Johnnie Wesley Ray Miller. She was survived by her husband, James (Johnnie) Chitwood, Jr. of Oneida; three sons, John Chitwood and wife Stacey, Shane Chitwood and wife Lesa, Shannon Chitwood and wife Angie all of Oneida; two daughters, Shonda Chitwood, Scarlett Burke and husband Matthew all of Oneida; one sister, Dessie Terry and husband Ralph; three brothers, Jerome Miller and wife Jean of Robbins, Lonnie Miller and wife Kathy of the Niggs Creek Community, Christopher Miller of Oneida; one foster brother, Bill Winchester and wife Orangie of Oneida; one special aunt, Lizze Garlen; eight grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, many others that called her mom, Mamow, and many other relatives and friends. Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of the arrangement. WILLIAM AUBRA BILL SMITH, 73, of the Mt. Helen community, passed away Friday in the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Mt. Helen Baptist Church and a member of the Jamestown Lodge #281 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Leva Smith. He was survived by wife, Sylvia Arney Smith of Mt. Helen; son, William Keith Smith and wife, Carolyn of Allardt; daughter, Susan Smith Young and husband Oscar of Allardt; grandchildren, Warren and Hayes Smith, Josh and Tim Young, Sue Boles and Vickie Wright; special great-grand-children, Jaden; sister, Charlene Jennings and husband Otis of Dayton, O. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown with Bro. Sammie Dunford and Bro. Randy Smith officiating burial followed in the Mt. Helen Cemetery with Masonic services held at the graveside. Pallbearers were: Mike Wright, William Boles, Tim Young, James Young, David Wright, and Gary Wells. The Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements. ERNEST LEE "EKE" MARTIN, 77, of Clinton passed away May 24 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, He was a member and deacon of White Rock Baptist Church in Huntsville, E.L. was a veteran of the Merchant Marines. He owned and operated Martins Outdoor Center in Norris, and retired from Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Plant as a mechanist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Martin; parents, Ernest C. Martin and Princie Osborne Martin. He is survived by one son, Terry Martin and wife Sheila of Clinton; one daughter, Lidelle Bowling and husband Rick of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brian and Allison Martin of Clinton and Andrew Bowling of Knoxville; one sister-in-law, Louise Bumgardner of Roseville, Calif.; one nephew, Keith Bumgardner of Illinois; one niece, Paula Pierce of Calif. and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held May 27 at 7 p.m. at the White Rock Baptist Church in Huntsville with Bro. Jim West officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 4 p.m! . until 7 p.m. prior to the funeral services. Graveside services were held May 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Black Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City. THOMAS ARTHUR FAIRCHILD, 87, of Oneida, passed away on May 29 at the Scott County Hospital. He was the son of the late Arthur Chesterfield Fairchild and Ida Jessie Gertrude O'Poole Fairchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Carl, Henry, Beryl, Jack, Betty and Pearl. He is survived by his wife, Edna Fairchild of Oneida; daughter, Patricia Litton and husband Clifton of Oneida; sons, Kevin Fairchild and wife LeAnn of Robbins, Greg Fairchild and wife Tina of Oneida; grandchildren, Justin and Lacey Litton of Oneida, Sierra, Devin and Jasie Fairchild of Robbins, Destiny and Faith Fairchild of Oneida; special sister-in-law, Joyce Fairchild of Ringo, Ga.; special nieces, Marta and Lana; and many other relatives and friends. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He attended Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Willie King; two sisters, Emma King Rydner and Myrtle King Ross; two brothers-in-law, Leonard Rydner and Dode Ross. He was survived by his wife, Sue Goad King; one daughter, Waynette King Harness and husband Dwight of Coalhill; two sons, Max Allen King of Cincinnati, O., Rev. Michael Dean "Bubba" King and wife Jamie of Knoxville; three grand-daughters, Ashlee Harness, Amber Harness, and Beth King; one grandson, Azekiel "Zeke" Harness; one sister, Tina Howard of Dyersburg; one brother, Atley King of Pine Knot, Ky.; special cousin and best friend Gene Strunk of Lexington, Ky., many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was the son of the late Mabel Thomas and Tolbert "Tollie" Thomas. He was a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hill Thomas; step-mother, Connie Murphy Thomas; infant brother and sister; two brothers-in-law, Mert Blevins and Frank Barkley. He is survived by his two sons, Donald E. Thomas and wife Mary Lou, Doyle Eddie Thomas and wife Letha; daughter, Lori Thomas West and husband Jeff of Oneida; three sisters, Mildred Barkley, Imogene Blevins and Martha Stephens and husband Lloyd; brother, Gayson Thomas and wife Marie; six grandchildren, Josh, Sara, Ashley, Matt, Rosa, and Jessi. RONDAL LOWE, 45, passed away May 24 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. He was the son of Ova Lowe and Ofa Mason Lowe. In addition to his parents he is survived by five brothers, Randy Lowe, Marley Lowe and wife Sonya, Marvin Lowe and wife Lori, Arlen Lowe and wife Robin and Jason Lowe and wife Janet all of Huntsville; four sisters, Margaret Rodgers and husband Jimmy of Halls, Lenita Daugherty and Husband Clyde of Huntsville, Letisha Smiddy and Jack Taylor of Lake City, and Rebekah Griffith and husband Steve of Oneida; one special friend, Mary Jane Lowe of the Smokey Community, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held May 27 at 2 p.m. at the Straight Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Hatfield and Bro. Ronnie Loew officiating. Special music was provided by The Mason Family. He was the sone of Edgar Gene Bushman and Hettie Davis Bushman. He was a musician having played all over the United States with several bands. He was employed by Blount Memorial Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louie B. Davis and Zilah Davis; uncles, Astor Davis, Jessie Davis, Milace Davis, Bobby Davis; Aunts, Margie Wright and Lorene King. In addition to his parents he is survived by wife, Darlene Chambers Bushman; step-son, Les E. Neuhaus III of Africa; brother, Ervin Bushman and wife Kitty of Winfield and Roy Bushman of Cincinnati, O.; aunts, Mary Alice King of Pine Knot, KY and Priscilla Chambers of Oneida; best friend, Bruce Owen. DONALD MASON, 53, passed away May 26, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. He was the son of the late Hobert Mason and Emma Lowe Mason. He was a member of the Buffalo Bridge Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, R.D. Chambers; one grand-daughter, Shyann Mason. He is survived by his wife, Judy Chambers Mason; mother, Emma Mason; son, Andy Mason and wife Tina of the Rock House community; four daughters, Amy Chambers and husband Carter of the Annadale community, Angie Mason and Abby Mason both of the Rock House community, and Leann Kidd and husband Glendon of Ky.; five grandchildren, Papaw's special babies, Ryan Goad, Dillon Kidd, Vincent Goad, Calee Chambers, Jonathan Kidd; three brothers, Rev.
