Some may be wondering why I am actively seeking a DNA candidate for Thomas Bowles of Hanover County who married Sarah Holman. We have two participants who both claim to descend from this couple: 29596 claims Peter Morris Bowles > Thomas T. Bowles > Thomas Bowles who married Sarah Holman 35029 claims John Brown Bowles > Thomas T. Bowles > Thomas Bowles who married Sarah Holman According to their DNA results they are not descended from the same ancestor. The best solution is to find another candidate, preferably someone who does not descend from either Peter Morris Bowles or John Brown Bowles. Such a person's results, assuming that they matched one of the two already tested, would allow both 29596 and 35029 know where they stand. Surely there is someone who can do this.
