(sometimes Mary Doyne, but this is debatable) I do have data on parents of Jane Lowe Bowles and Eleanor Cissell Bowles [So you'll have to write to her directly if you want more information.] Linne ===================================================================== Match: Bowles Source: MDSTMARY-L@rootsweb.com From: "Melissa Young" <tyoung1120@cox.net> Subject: Re: [MDSTMARY-L] Thomas Howard and Ann Gough This does not answer Jerry's question, but I would like to take opportunity to mention a detail that I often see confused. Jerry mentions an Augustine Ethelbert Cissell (son of John Baptist Cissell and Rebecca), who married Henrietta Rhodes They had one son, whose name escapes me.This family emigrated from MD to KY. There is another Ethelbert Cissell (son of John Cissell and Henrietta) who married Elizabeth Maria Mattingly (I believe her to be the daughter of Thomas Mattingly (of Clement of Thomas III) and Elizabeth, who had one daughter, Elizabetha Maria Cecil. This Ethelbert used the Cecil spelling towards the end of his life. This family stayed in St. Mary's County, as documented through census and records of public service....two distinctly different families. As a direct descendant of this Ethelbert, I have an interest in the distinction. I almost always see these two families snarled together with one father, (Augustine) Ethelbert Cissell, married to two wives, both Henrietta (or Harriett Rhodes) and Elizabeth Mattingly and two children, a son and daughter. I am certain this is incorrect, and can provide enough documentation on the St. Mary's family to prove so, if any one would like to see proof. If any of you can provide info to help me unsnarl, I would like to know more. Thanks, Jerry for letting me piggyback on you! Melissa Young ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry L.
