John Barnette Bowles b. Wilkes County NC ca. 1799 m. Clarsy Jordan ca 1820. John supposedly died somewhere in Ill. Can anyone enlighten me on this situation, such as, parents names, any dates, locations etc., I think his father was John Bowles who married Elizabeth Barker. If so, where were they from? Where did they go? John Barnette had a son William H. Bowles who m. Cansady Williams and had a daughter Ada Belle Bowles who married my grandfather Adopphus D. Lail in Alexander Ccounty NC.
