    2. In 1664 when John Bowles gave all his land to his son John, his wife Anne said not so fast and filed suit for the land she had brought into the marriage for her children. Henry Southy died 1623 in Elizabeth City Co. leaving his wife Elizabeth and daughter Anne. Anne married a Littleton and a White(Waite) before she married John Bowles who died 1664 in Elizabeth City Co. With Littleton, Anne had a son Southy Littleton and with White a son John White.John Bowles may have married a sister of Anne sometime before Anne because Elizabeth (Anne's mother) made a gift to John Bowles in 1636 in Elizabeth City Co. Elizabeth married several times after the death of her husband Henry Southy. Servants Thomas, Mary, and Elizabeth are Henry Southy children.They died in 1623 also. (Southy, Southall, ect.).
