She died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois at 1:05 a.m., Tuesday, June 13th, due to a heart condition. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church in Springfield, Kentucky. She was a former employee of the Southern Bell Telephone Company in Springfield for eight years and served in the WAC's during World War II. For the past ten years she and Mr. Wood have been making their home in Belleville, Ill., where she was a member of the Art Club and worked for the Bollmeters Hobby Shop. She was married to Mr. John Merlin Wood, Jr., April 3, 1948 and to this union one son was born, John Merlin Wood, III, at home. Besides her husband and son, she is also survived by one sister and one brother, Mrs. Lillian Waggener ! Foster of Campbellsville and Mr. Arthur Campbell of Springfield, Ky. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 15 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Marshall Owens. Burial in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. I. Meader, Ray Bowles, Joe Waggener, Dick Waggener, Lewis Wilson, and Marvin Elmore. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
