I'm looking at an abstract of the 1850 Tn census. There is a James age 5 which would be close. Family: James Bowles 36, Sally 33, John 7, James 5, Oliver 1, all b Tn. This county is abv....Sn...no idea which county that would be. there are a lot of James in Tn 1850 but most too young. That's the only one about the right age. Looks like the father was b 1814 in Tn? Can anyone look that up? If so, we could look more into who his parents could possible be. My maiden name is Boles.
