Bowles, dau of John and Ellen T.; residing in Portsea, Hampshire; John was a schoolmaster. The latter Fanny L. Bowles (middle initial might be S.) was listed with her parents in the 1871 census, and she was listed as a teacher of music. According to the 1900 census, your Fanny entered the U.S. in 1872.
