David was born in New Jersey, and married Esther probably in Hampshire County, (West) Virginia. By 1820 they were living in Washington Township, Dearbon County, Indiana, and by 1840 were living in Marion County, Indiana. The name may be anglicized from Baur or Bauer. Thanks! M. R.
