I was recently cleaning up old emails and noticed this email from Cathie Carnahan regarding her Bowers line. Since I am Bowers and married to a Carnahan, I am intrigued. I'm curious to know if we are connected. My Bowers line is the Leonard Bowers line out of Elizabethton, TN. He was born in Washington County, MD prior to the American Revolution. Most believe his father was George Bowers, but I disagree. I think the evidence is too flimsy and speculative with more evidence against than for. My only hope is for DNA connections somewhere. My husband's Carnahan line is descended from Alexander H Carnahan, from Clay County, TN, near Red Boiling Springs. If Cathie Carnahan is still on the list, is there any possibility of a connection?
