    3. Donna and all, I have recorded that Lazarus F. Bowers b @ 1844 in Germany. He immiagrated in USA in 1850 along with parents and others. I was told that parents were dead on a ship and others said that his mother in USA and others stated that he lived with his uncle. No trace! I have him in censuses: Death: September 1926 in Douglas County, MO Burial: Dogwood Cemetery, Lincoln Township, Douglas County, MO. He lived with his older son John William Bowers in 1910 in MO. Married Martha Ann Clark in Harrison County, IN in 1866. B: December 2, 1841 in VA. 9 known children: 1. John William Bowers B: September 1867 in Harrison County, IN 2. Mary Annabelle "Molly" Bowers B: January 9, 1869 in Harrison Co., IN 3. Cora Luby Bowers B: November 7, 1871 in Harrison Co., IN 4. Henry Edward Bowers B: February 26, 1873 in Harrison Co., IN 5. Sarah R. "Sally" Bowers B: 1876 in Harrison Co., IN 6. Catherine "Katie" Bowers B: November 6, 1876 in Harrison Co., IN 7. Elizabeth G. "Bertie" Bowers B: March 1878 in Harrison Co., IN 8. If anyone has any different info, please let me know. The census records for 1860 and 1870 for Margaret and Wm. Donahoo (there are variant spellings of this surname as well) show her as b. TN around 1822-1824 (1860 census Pg. 884/885 for Daviess Co., KY and 1870 census Pg. 342 also for Daviess Co., KY). There is a slight discrepancy on the age on the census records but she does fit the 1840 census for Jeremiah Bowers, of Todd Co., KY pg. 244. A female child is listed for them age 15-20 (b. 1820-1825). By the 1850 census, Jeremiah and wife Margaret, still in Todd Co., but the daughter is not in the household. The marriage for Margaret and Wm. Donahoo occurs 1847 in Muhlenberg Co. KY, so she would not be in the 1850 census of parents by then. All children of Jeremiah and Margaret were born Sumner and Wilson Co., TN so the TN birthplace and date seem to fit. I would still like to find the 1850 and 1880 census for Margaret and Wm. Donahoo. Also, Margaret and Wm. have a child named Nancy, which is a common name, but also would be the name of Margaret's grandmother and her sister. So, had a sister Nancy, her mother was Margaret and her mother's mother was Nancy. Everything seems to fit and Muhlenberg Co. was not that far away from Todd Co. KY for a marriage. Moving to Daviess Co. is not that unusual and in looking at the other children of Jeremiah and Margaret, others moved to IL and one to MS. Only one son, Thomas, remained in nearby Logan Co. and Nancy who married Isaiah Trout remained in Todd KY, according to my research. But I am still missing one son! Born TN 1815-1820. Another puzzle! So, Carolyn, by your note, Lazarus b. 1841 would be born too early to be the child of Margaret and Wm. Donahoo and both Margaret & Wm. are b. TN in 1820's so already in the U.S. earlier than the date you mention for Lazarus. Carolyn, try posting what you have on Lazarus....his children, dates of birth, place, place of residence, etc. Maybe someone will recognize him. Donna
