    3. Donna and all, I have recorded that Lazarus F. Bowers b @ 1844 in Germany. He immiagrated in USA in 1850 along with parents and others. I was told that parents were dead on a ship and others said that his mother in USA and others stated that he lived with his uncle. No trace! I have him in censuses: Death: September 1926 in Douglas County, MO Burial: Dogwood Cemetery, Lincoln Township, Douglas County, MO. He lived with his older son John William Bowers in 1910 in MO. Married Martha Ann Clark in Harrison County, IN in 1866. B: December 2, 1841 in VA. 9 known children: 1. John William Bowers B: September 1867 in Harrison County, IN 2. Mary Annabelle "Molly" Bowers B: January 9, 1869 in Harrison Co., IN 3. Cora Luby Bowers B: November 7, 1871 in Harrison Co., IN 4. Henry Edward Bowers B: February 26, 1873 in Harrison Co., IN 5. Sarah R. "Sally" Bowers B: 1876 in Harrison Co., IN 6. Catherine "Katie" Bowers B: November 6, 1876 in Harrison Co., IN 7. Elizabeth G. "Bertie" Bowers B: March 1878 in Harrison Co., IN 8.     3. My attempt to help!! I have found that the name BowerS is English/Scotch./ Irish ...Those in Germany is BOWER or BAUER. Maybe if you look for those names On immigration papers & census many misspelled or mistakenly put an "s" on any name... I wish I could help you further!
