So, I will post here hoping they are still on the list. Some of you other Bowers might also be interested in this. Pamela Boan posted 6/6/99 she was seeking info on Sarah Miller Bowers b. Sept. 1823 poss. Giles Co., TN. I have some info on her. C. Brown also posted looking for info on Lemuel Bowers of Hamilton Co. IL. Lemuel was from Davidson Co., TN. If you are still on the list, send me a note. Some of you Ohio and Illinois Bowers who are stuck might want to check out the records in Davidson Co., TN (near Nashville). Some of the TN Bowers possibly went north after the War of 1812. In the case of Lemuel, he fought for TN in 1812 and rec'd a bounty land grant in Illinois after the war.
