He married Esther Hole in Virginia, probably Hampshire County. In 1820 he was living in Washington Township, Dearborn County, and by 1840 he was living in Pike Township, Marion County, Indiana. He may have been born in Essex or Union County, NJ, and may have been living in Northumberland County, PA prior to 1820. He and Esther had several children: John, Thomas, David, Anna (1823-1892, married John Trester), Sarah (1827-?, m. William Trester), George, and Stephen. David appears to have died between 1850 and 1860 and is probably buried in Marion County. I believe Bowers is an anglicized form of Bauer or Bauers. Esther was the daughter of Daniel Hole, Jr. (1747-1839, Revolutionary War veteran). Any leads? Thanks, Mason
