Thanks in advance. Warren Bowers in Virginia Trying to find ancestors of my great Grandfather David Corwin Bowers. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio sometime in 1830. Later moved to Illinois, where he appeared on 1850 census in Logan County. Married twice- 1st wife- Delila ( maiden name and DOB unknown) on 3-7-52 One child- Cornelius Philander. After Delila's death on May 6, 1858, , David married Nancy Carey (my Great Grandmother) August 4, 1859 in Collinsville, Ill. Children of David and Nancy: 1: Albin b. 1-10-1862 2: Miranda b. 10-27-1863 3: Albert b. 5-11-1866 4: John Franklin b. 6-1-1870 (My Grandfather) David served in Civil War- Illinois Volunteers. (Pvt. Co. K, Regiment 108) . I have that record. He died Feb 9, 1876 in Tazewell County, Ill. Nancy and children moved to Bayard , Del. eight months after David's death . She died 12-28-84 in Delaware. My Grandfather, John F. Bowers married Lillie Belle Derrickson, in Delaware. They later moved to Philadelphia, Pa, where my Father, Albert F. Bowers, was born 7-24-1893. Any help???
