The researcher was looking for an ancestor who was supposedly a member of the Green Mountain Boys, but was unable to locate any sources. After some searching and assistance from other members of the mailing list, we located several sources on the Vermont Green Mountain Boys, who fought during the Civil War. The best source of information is at http://www.vermontcivilwar.org/ When searching for military records, always remember that you can write to the National Archives.
