FYI There was an obit for a Dorothy E. BOWERS of Portsmouth, New Hampshire in our local Santa Barbara (California) News-Press on August 12th. She died here in Santa Barbara one day shy of her 82nd birthday (date of death was July 21). She also was in Lakeland Florida for quite awhile before coming to Santa Barbara. It appears from the article that she is a Bowers by marriage - but in case there is family interested - either I can help copy the obit or maybe it is on the web or the newspaper site. It did say that her son, who predeceased her in 1998 at age 45, was a Ralph E. BOWERS, Hope this helps someone. I also saw the roll call. I have been out of the country - but hope to get something up on my BOWERS in the next week or so.
