I am searching for information on my gggrandfather, Joseph BOWERS. He was born c. 1803 in either PA or MD. In 1820 his sister, Mary, married Michael COLLAFLOWER in Frederick Co. MD, and in 1828 Joseph and Michael bought land in Darke Co. OH. He married Elizabeth PARENT in Darke Co. in 1829. He left Darke Co. between 1860 and 1870. His wife, Elizabeth, died in Warren Co. IA in 1883, but I can find no record of Joseph's death or burial. I have been told that his father was born in Germany, so I am interested in the German Immigrant to PA list that Colleen posted on Aug. 14.
