Hi family, I don't know what, why or how it happened - replies from messages to Crosswinds have not given me a morsel of a clue - but over 300 of our files and graphics were wiped offline. I presume it began around August 4th when one of our cousins, Bobbi [dbdunn], notified me that graphics in the main hallway at the Homestead were broken. [Thanks so much, Bobbi, for letting me know. I DO appreciate you! :) ] Thinking it was just a "computer thing" I made the repairs, then Monday was notified by another cousin, Mark [OldIllini], that pages were missing. [Mark, I thank you as well, so much. :) ] Upon receiving a search engine notice that the Homestead had been spidered early this morning is when I realized something was drastically wrong; nearly one-third of our files and graphics were missing! I've spent all day going through the Homestead and uploading all the missing graphics and files. Another message to Crosswinds today regarding this situation has not been replied to yet. The point of my message ~~ PLEASE, if you see ANY broken graphics or missing files, notify me immediately! I work very, very hard trying to keep our home tidy and particularly, your material visible to visitors. If you've been to the Homestead in the past several weeks, done a search and come away with nothing, please go back and see if your search will work a second time. I believe I have all pages online now, but won't know that until I've done another links check. I'll _try_ to do one tomorrow. Thanks cousins. Colleen
