That's easy to see by the number of websites featuring GEDCOM files of genealogical information offered to relatives and potential relatives. There are also several websites that offer to host GEDCOM files for other genealogists, with the promise of an even greater audience for your family data. One of those aggregation websites is named GenCircles. As with similar GEDCOM websites, GenCircles offers an extensive array of GEDCOM files featuring data on thousands of individuals. Each of these can be searched separately, or all of them can be investigated at once using the site's search engine. Beyond GEDCOM files, GenCircles hosts geographic surname clubs, and a special service known as smart matching -- software that will match names found in your GEDCOM file with other names in the GEDCOM files already registered with GenCircles. Registration at GenCircles is free, with a minimum of personal data required to create an account.
