Not that I know anything about GenCircles, but their finances are not necessarily a reason for panic. Rootsweb has always been free, they've found other ways to make it work. Also, GenCircles makes a big point of their privacy policy to address the very concerns brought up here. Not that they can't change their mind willy nilly, but there's really nothing in the virtual world they can do besides post such a policy and earn trust by not violating it. From their site: What about the protection of my data and privacy? We know that the future of our project rests on respecting your hard work. With this in mind, we created the GenCircles Promise. Our promise states that we will never claim to own your genealogy or burn it onto CD to sell. In addition to this, we have a clearly stated Privacy Policy that keeps your personal information secure. If at any time, you'd like to remove your file from our servers, it is a simple "no questions asked" click of the mouse. http://www.gencircles.com/globaltree/ Amelia __________________________________________________ Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
