    1. [BOWER] RE: GERMAN BIRTH RECORDS DATABASE
    2. Colleen Pustola
    3. Hi family, I got so into explaining the setup of the German birth records database last night that I neglected to give an explaination of what you'd be looking at! I also see today that I neglected to give the same on the index page; I'll have that corrected shortly after this message. If you haven't been to the database yet, once there you'll see eight columns. I suspect columns 4-6 will give you the biggest headaches, but I'll go ahead and enumerate them all... 1 - Child's name 2 - Event type. There are two types of records in the database ~ birth and christening. 3 - Year of event. 4 - State 5 - District; county 6 - City, town, village 7 - Father 8 - Mother I should also add here that even though there are no Bower or Bowers spellings per se in the database, it doesn't mean your ancestors won't be in it. If you know (or even suspect) your lines came from Germany, definitely check all the spellings. If anyone should have success, won't you please share it with the rest of us? We'd love to share your excitement. Wishing you all a SUPER, SUNNY Sunday! :) Colleen
