Howard, Are you the Howard Bowers from TX? Are these Bowers related to those of Wilson Co., TN? The names are sooo similar. Didn't some children of Giles of Franklin Co., NC migrate to middle TN? There is a William Bowers in Wilson Co., b. c. 1775 or earlier, a Giles Bowers d. before Nov. 2, 1818, wife was Elizabeth (don't know date of birth) who had a son, Green C. Bowers m. Susan Forbis. There is also a Benjamin Bowers in Wilson Co., TN who was there early as 1807 that I don't know much about either. Anyone know anything about these Bowers? Donna, I am the Howard Bowers in Tennessee transplanted from Kansas by way of Iowa, Colorado and New Mexico. I am intrigued by the Bowers families in early Wilson Co TN and also in Bedford Co TN and I suspect there is a relationship to my Green Bowers but have found no proof. I think you and I exchanged information several years ago. Will have to look in my notes to refresh my memory.
