She was born in Dracut, Mass., and moved to New Port Richey in 1999 from Largo, where she worked as an employment counselor for the state of Florida. As a nun, she served as a nurse, counselor and taught language at the Sisters of Assumption in Quebec. Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Everett; three sisters, Marie Carignan, Lowell, Mass., Jeannette Doran, Jacksonville, and Florianne Carignan, Belmont, Mass.; and seven brothers, Oscar Carignan, Safety Harbor, the Rev. Peter Armand, Philippines, Robert Carignan, San Antonio, Texas; Charles Carignan, Dracut, Donald Carignan, Boston, Wilfred Carignan, Snowmass, Colo., and Dennis Carignan, Casco, Maine.
