Good morning family! :) I'm going to try a different tack this morning ... these Bower(s) are making me half CRAZY!!! After nearly 20 years, they just really need to get found! :) Oliver P. Bower(s) was born 1830 in NY, died there 1887. A narrative on him in a county history states he "came of New England ancestry. His father, Isaac Bower, was a native of Connecticut, and coming to Schuyler county, New York, cast in his lot with the early settlers who laid the foundation...." Cousin Vanda Greenwood and I already know that we DON'T know if we're searching properly for Bower or Bowers. We DO know that we could use some serious help from any of you New England-research cousins. :) I have Isaac b. 1776 in New York. Obviously, THAT is now in question! Isaac married twice, the first time was before 1805 - to whom and where is unknown. Sometime between 1811 and 1818 his first wife died in New York (Schuyler County?). Again, sometime between 1811 and 1819 Isaac married Elinor _?_. Does anyone know her last name? What I'm really seeking with this post today is anyone who knows of an Isaac Bower(s), born 1776 in Connecticut. Thanks for any help, cousins. I hope you're all having a THRILLING Thursday! :) Colleen
