    2. David Corwin Bowers married Nancy Carey in Collinsville, Madison Co. Illinois in 1859. ( Lic. # 574 Pg. 164 Vol. 6, Madison Co., Ill. (Verified by Madison Co.) He served in the Union Army--Illinois Volunteers Co. K Reg. 108 He joined Dec. 24, 1863 in Peoria, Ill. Mustered in Jan. 5, 1864--Peoria Discharged June 25, 1865 in Montgomery, Ill. due to a disability. His mustering in papers say he was age 33--6'0" tall, had black hair, Blue eyes, fair skin and was a farmer. David died Feb. 9, 1876 in Tazewell Co., Ill We have not found his place of burial or who his parents or siblings were. His children were Albin Bowers b:Jan 10, 1862 (Possibly in Illinois.) (My grandmother's death certificate says he was born in Pa) (Spouse: Mary Glover) (My grandmother's death certificate says Mary Glover was born in TN.) Believe Albin died in Pearlington, Hancock Co., Mississippi Dec. 26, 1893. Do not know where he is buried. Miranda (Maranda) b: Oct. 27, 1863--believed to be in Illinois. (Spouse: Thomas Mitchell) Albert b: May 11, 1866--believe in Ill. John Franklin Bowers b: June 1, 1870 --Peoria Ill. (Had a note that his birth could have been in Philadelphia, Pa., but believe it to be Peoria, Ill.) (Spouse: Lillie Belle Derrickson) Believe David may have been Living in Logan Co., Ill. in abt 1850. Diana
