    3. Connie, Yes, I am researching the family of Joel Bower (Sr) in Ohio. He and his first wife, Amy Anthony, was married in Hamilton County, Ohio in 1826. We believe they had 8 children, all born in Hamilton County, Ohio also, before moving the family to Ripley County, Indiana. They moved sometime after Nov 1849 and before Dec. 1851 based on where and when the last child was born and the first wife passing. Any information about this family would be APPRECIATED!!! So much so I couldn't tell you how much we would appreciated it! I hate brick walls. 3. My Bower may have come out of Ohio. Perhaps in the Canton area (only a theory) She was Laura Bower, who married George Maddox in 1892 in Muncie, Indiana. Her son, Webster Maddox, registered with the Army in Canton, OH and I can think of no other reason for him to be there, unless he had family there. Again, just a theory, but there are a lot of Bowers in Canton.....
