John BOWER and Ann TOUGH (m. 1784) I think his parents were William BOWER and Margaret CUMMINE of Elgin, Morayshire. John and Ann had: 1. Rev. John BOWER (b. 1786) of parish of Maryculter, married Sarah Christina WILSON, one dau: Agnes who m. John DALLAS in 1862. 2. William J. BOWER (b. 1787) emigrated to Ontario, Canada, married Elizabeth SCHWERDFEGER, had: John Conrad (b. 1820) who m. Catherine Van ALLEN, had 8 children; Ann Catherine (b. 1823), who m. Samuel Adams HUNTINGTON, had 12 children; Robert Samuel (b.1828) who m. Elizabeth SEMPLE, had 11 children. William and Elizabeth also raised her son Joseph (b. 1813) who m. Mary Ann HUNTINGTON, had 11 children. 3. Dr. Robert BOWER (b.1790) m. Agnes Colquhoun ROSS, had: Mary (b. 1823), Sarah Christina (b. 1825), Ellen Anne (b.1827), Agnes Eliza (b. 1932). 4.
