He was James Owen BOWERS b 31 Jan 1900 at Argentine (north QLD). I've search through the births and marriages in the QLD index's but can't find anything. The family lived in Aloomba, Gordonvale area of north QLD. Sorry not much help I know but I'm still hopeful.
