Hi. Here's what I have on my Bowers... My g-g-grandmother was (Anna)Laura Bowers born in Indiana about 1875. I have recently found through census records that here parents were - Thomas Bowers born in VA about 1845 and his wife, Mary, also born in VA about 1845. Living with them at the time of the 1880 census was Thomas' brother, William Bowers, born in VA about 1849. Thomas and Mary had 5 daughters (as of the 1880 census...) I have bits & pieces of info for them - (Anna)Laura born about 1875 married George Maddox in 1892 Mildred May born about 1869 married Cecil Minnick 1-1-1908 Alminna "Minnie" born about 1872 married Frank Cummins 1-30-1889 Etta (Ella?) P. "Pearlie" born about 1877 married John W Max 11-28-1900 Mattie born about 1879 married Lefty Runyon 5-8-1901 Mary (their mother) died in 1913 at age 68. In her obit it states she was buried in Painter Cemetery (which is in Henry County). Apparently Thomas preceeded her in death as he isn't mentioned as a survivor.
