Hi All I recently resubbed and then my computer died on me but am now back in full swing again. My Bower line is reputed to descend from John Bower 1560 aprox to 1615 he was an appothecary and Surgeon at Gloucester England. Here is what I have so far- My g.g. grandmother Emma Elizabeth Bower was born 10th Sept 1856 At Griffiths Row,The Old Sea Lock Cardiff Wales .She had 9 brothers and sisters- Eliza born 1836 at Gloucester Matilda born 1838 at Gloucester Ann born 1842 at Gloucester Jane born 1844 at Gloucester William born 1848 at Gloucester James born 1851 at Gloucester George born 1853 at Gloucester Ellen born 1855 at Cardiff Thomas born 1859 at Cardiff Agnes born 1861 at Cardiff My g.g.g.grandfather James Bower was baptised 27th Feb 1814 at St Nicholas Gloucester England He had 5 brothers and sisters that I know of Elizabeth Baptised 31. 7.1803 at St Nicholas Gloucester Sarah Baptised 16.11.1806 at St Nicholas Gloucester Thomas Baptised 26. 3.1809 at St Nicholas Gloucester George Baptised 14.11.1811 at St Nicholas Gloucester John Baptised 7. 7.1816 at St Nicholas Gloucester James Bower married Elizabeth Scorey at Hempstead on 30.11.1835 both were living at Little worth Gloucester at the time. James Bower was the son of Thomas Bower and Elizabeth Bower nee Jones My g.g.g.g.grandfather Thomas Bower was baptised 8th May 1778 at St Nicholas Gloucester he had a brother and sister that I know of- George Baptised 31. 3.1777 at St Nicholas Gloucester Susannah Baptised 27. 8.1779 at St Nicholas Gloucester Thomas Bower was the son of Thomas Bower and Sarah Bower Thomas Bower listed as a licenced victualer of Gloucester city Wife: Sarah Tombes Marriage date: 2 Mar 1776 Recorded in: St.James, Bristol, Gloucester Wife previously married.
