Mary, I saw your response to Marilyn and I am wondering if you know who your Thomas's father was or if your Thomas had any brothers or sisters. My gggrandfather Joel Bower was born in 1794 in York Co. but now it would be Adams Co., Pa. Joel had a brother Thomas, a brother Michael, a sister Mary Ann and a sister Jane who married Moses Myers. Their father was Jonathan whose wife was Martha. I really don't know anything about Joel's sisters and brothers. The birth date of 1808 for Thomas would fit well with Joel's 1794. In Jonathan's will Thomas has a middle initial of R. I too am probably grasping at straws. Let me know if we have a match or not. Thanks! Donna ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary L. Thanks! > > Donna > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Mary L. Moore <emlou@rainbowtel.net> > To Hi Donna: I haven't worked on this line for some time. When I had my other program, I subscribed to I think Ancestry or something similar and found Thomas on World Family Tree # 869, but I could never access where the information came from or who it came from. Since this was a g-grandfather and family was so poor not much of a paper trail to follow, I let it drop with what I could find on census reports. If this Thomas is truly my line, he married in Indiana, but John W. and Henry were both born in PA; so assume there was family both places? Sorry can't be of more help Mary Lou-KS
Keep in mind that the south part of Adams Co. at that time was considered to be a part of MD! We spent a lot of energy looking in PA records for folks who's every move was in the records in Frederick Co., MD.
