>From the McLouth (KS) Times, May 27, 1904: "Miss Mabel Bowers of Lawrence visited with her sister, Mrs. Ed Fetty." This note was confusing to me for a few moments because my grandma was Mabel (Kimmel) Bowers and it took me that long to realize Miss Mabel Bowers wasn't Mrs. On the off chance that these sisters might belong to one of you, I looked in the Jefferson County (KS) tombstone inscription book, and learned that Edward H. Fetty (May 26 1877 - March 13 1914) was the husband of IVA BOWERS. I was surprised to learn that Edward is buried in Hardy Oak Cemetery, which is where my other grandma's people are buried (tiny little cemetery that some of the locals don't know where is). But (unless Iva is somehow Madora I. Fetty 1873-1902) Iva's name doesn't appear in the Jefferson County burial listings. Madora I and a bunch more Fettys are buried at Hardy Oak. Happy hunting. Jan T
