Here is an obituary for Kenneth Bauer from the Tuscola County Advertiser, Wednesday, June 20, 2001: KENNETH CARL BAUER of Caro, Michigan Passed away at his home on East Caro Road, Sunday afternoon, June 17, 2001 following a brief illness. He was 36. He was born October 7, 1964 in Caro, the son of Walter and Ethel (Frost) Bauer. He was raised on and maintained the homestead centennial farm established in 1888. He graduated from Caro High School in 1982 and was employed at Nash Finch, formerly Super Foods in Saginaw for the last 15 years or so. Surviving are his mother, Ethel; three sisters and two brothers, Brenda Bauer of Caro, Donna Bauer and her husband, Don Donigan of Roswell, New Mexico, Cindy Bauer of Birmingham, Mich., Robert Bauer and his wife, Kimberly of Caro and Walter Bauer of Midland; three nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Jennifer and Robert Bauer, Jr., all of Caro. Ken will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. His father, Walter Bauer predeceased him on September 2, 1970. "Ken, your life seems to us too short. Although we need and love you so much, the Lord must need and love you more. You are now in a place where you will suffer no more. Kenny, you are deeply missed and will always be in our thoughts." Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 at the Ransford Funeral Home in Caro, with burial to follow in the Almer Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ransford Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to VNA/Hospice-Partners in Caring.
