I know he arrived in Australia on26/12/1872 onboard the Ship Vernon (from his Naturalisation papers even though he does not appear on the passenger list for such voyage). This ship sailed from a British Port so he must have left Germany and went somewhere else first unless the Vernon sailed from Germany and had a stopover in a British port onroute. Can anyone help me with how to find out departure date and point from Germany. Faye Australia
