BOWER, aged 63 years, 7 months, and 12 days. Thus is ended the life record of another of Whitewater's (Wisconsin)older residents. The summons came to her after a long and painful illness from cancerous tumor, the ravages of which, the skill of physicians and surgeons was impotent to stay. Throughout her illness she maintained a cheerful courage and fortitude which was little short of marvellous to those who witnessed it. When the end came she was fully prepared and sank painlessly and peacefully into the embrace of Death. Adelia Ann Marsh was born in Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., Vermont, June 18th, 1825. Removed to Newburgh, now the 18th ward of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1832, thence to Wisconsin in 1844, where she was married to J. C. BOWER in 1855. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons and two daughters all of whom have arrived at years of maturity, to mourn the loss of an exceptionally kind and indulgent wife and mother. The funeral services were held at the Universalist church, with which she had long been connected, on Sunday, Feb. 3rd, at 2 o'clock p.m. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Geo. H. Hastings, and wer attended by the members of the Rebecca degree and Halcyon lodge I.O. O. F. and a large concourse of friends who filled the auditiorium to its utmost capacity.
