Still looking for info on Samuel Bowers, b. abt. 1820, Greene Co., TN, son of Jonas Bowers and Elizabeth "Betsy" Rader, who were married 20 August, 1818 Greene Co., TN. Samuel Bowers had brothers and sisters, John A. Bowers, William Bowers, Henry Bowers, Lewis Bowers, Catherine Bowers, Elizabeth Bowers, Caroline Bowers, Christian Bowers, and Martha Bowers. All born in Greene Co., TN. Samuel Bowers, not in the 1850 census Greene Co., TN. He was in Greene County, during the 1840's, though, appearing at least two times as a bondsman for these two marriages: June 22, 1843 - William Massey and Mary Moore October 26, 1843 - John Sossman, Jr. and Amanda Caroline Dockens.
