There is a William Bowers in Wilson Co., b. c. 1775 or earlier, a Giles Bowers d. before Nov. 2, 1818, wife was Elizabeth (don't know date of birth) who had a son, Green C. Bowers m. Susan Forbis. Is anyone related to these Bowers from Attala Co., Mississippi, or know anything about them? If so, please send me a note. They were listed in the 1850 Census - Attala Co., MS, Pg 110. Attala Co. is the next county south of where my Bowers lived. I don't know what part of TN they were originally from. Some Bowers moved to MS from Middle TN as mine did and a few others may have come from just across the TN/MS line. Hi everyone, I just finished uploading the medieval births and marriages (totalling about 5,200 individuals) in the garage (my secret, medieval room). I also added several more ancestral pictures on our family wall. How did I find time? Well, I'm in a bit of a hold pattern right now. Three cousins had problems with their GEDCOMs and I'm waiting for them to work out the bugs. It shouldn't be too much longer as I notified them yesterday. So, those of you who wanted to add your GEDCOM to this month's update, you still have a little more time. I hope to have the update online by next Monday, so I'll set a new deadline here of Sunday (February 11th). Hey Vicky you are great and so are you in laws. I did some map looking and found a town of Mosbach and one of Oberscheffenz. Mosbach is south and east of Heidelberg and Oberscheffenz is due east of Heidelberg. Mosbach is a larger town than Oberscheffenz so maybe Mosbach is the district in Baden and Ogberscheffenz is the village my family came from.
