I'm looking for the parents of my great-great-grandfather Yancey Ancel Bowen. He was born June 1837 in Forsyth Co, NC. He died in Roane Co, WV in 1902. He married Susan Harris in Oct 1858 in Forsyth Co., NC. He served in the 33rd NC from 1861 until the end of the war. He moved his family to Roane Co, WV between 1867 and 1870. The 1850 Forsyth census lists: Bowen, Margaret 43 born in VA Ansel 12 born in NC Christina 10 born in NC John HW 7 mos born in NC The 1880 Roane Co, WV census lists Margaret living with Ancel. She is listed as being 74 years old and widowed. The 2 census records are all the information I can find on Margaret. I have been unable to identify her husband.
