I am reporting on my husband's Bowen Ancestors. Mary Elizabeth Robinson, daughter of Rebecca Bowen and William Robinson, md. to Moses M. Burt before the start of the Civil War. I have their birth and death information in my Family Tree if anyone wants it. They both died and are buried in Dawson Co., GA., Moses was in the Civil War for the Confederates Rebecca Bowen, B. 20 Oct 1811, Pickens SC, D. 27 Dec 1874, Dawson Co. GA, buried in Dawson Co., GA, was married to William Robinson, B. abt 1811 in Pickens SC, D. Btween 1850-1851 in New Orleans, LA from dysentery on his way home from a trip out West. Her Dad, John Bowen, B. 12 July 1771, Tazewell, VA, D. 20 July 1832 in Pickens SC, Her Mom, Elizabeth Hallum, B. 14 Nov, 1776 in VA, D. 20 Aug 1857 in Pickens Co., SC John's Parents: Robert Bowen, B. 1740 in VA. Mary Gillespie, B. 1743 in Augusta, VA These facts are not all verified so if someone has any verication which offers more or different than I have I would appreciate being corrected or sharing your info with me..
