Hello, I am looking for descendants of James and Martha Jane Bowen, Duplin County, NC. I have nothing more on this family. James and Martha had a son, Abram (Abe) b. 1894 who married Hattie Mathews b. 1895, Duplin County. and married about 1921. Hattie died at age 26. I have their marriage and her death certificates. They resided in Wallace, NC. I don't know if Abe had siblings or not. Hattie Mathews is my grandfather's sister. His name was Walter Mathis (sp) different spelling from hers. Not sure why. Their mother was Laura Mathews, who also died when they were 4 or 5 years old. His aunts, Matilda (Matt) and Rhody raised them as best they could. Neither were married and had children of their own. Born to them were: Abe, Jr., Martha, Edna and Thomas Bowen. I have looked in the Census and can not find either one of them. I really need your help.
