My Bohans (Bohen/Bowen) are from Portumna,Galway, ireland starting with Richard Bohan (c1828-1901) & Sarah Ridge (c1830-1860). All children from that marriage - Michael Bowen (1848-1926), Patrick Bohen (1850-1923), James (1852-1934), Maria (1854-aft1940), Ellen (1856-1945) and Bridget ( 1857 - aft1940) settled in New York City.
