My mother had an Uncle named Dickey Bowen. I have often wondered where his parents got that name. Now I see on Google Earth that there is an area called Dickey Island just east of Fayetteville, TN. Dickey Island is an area surrounded by a big bend in the river. I can't help but wonder if that was not the inspiration for his name. _____________ Rik Rasmussen
