My military ancestor is Samuel Bowen born 9 March 1760 apparently in Rehoboth MA. His parents were probably Nathan Bowen and Lettice Millard but I have not found any record of the birth. Served in a number of call-ups during the Revolutionary War and in 1840 was awarded a pension. He married Polly Holmes and they moved to Poland ME where some of the children were born and then (before 1810) moved to Brooks, Hancock Co., ME where he died 25 May 1840. I am descended from his son Samuel who was born in Poland ME 14 Apr 1788.
