My Bowen's, William, William and Abraham and their wives and families all came originally from Schenectady, NY. The first 17 families to settle Schenectady were from the Netherlands and came in the early 1700's, possibly earlier. Then they were loyalists in the Rev. War, so received land from the king in Canada and all moved to Canada in the early 1800's. Then some returned to the US in the mid 1800's. Sorry, I don't know your William S. Bowen. My Daniel's wife was Sarah Anderson. After his death she m Edward Meeks. and had one child with him. I know this is a long shot but I have to try. My ggrandfather, William S. Bowen, was born 2/14/1818 in either New York or Pa. I have been searching for years and can't seem to get over the brick wall of who his parents are. He married Orra Carter in the 1850's in Sheboygan county, Wisconsin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pat

Fern, are you the one connected through Abraham? Do you have any info on William and Cornelia, Abraham's grandfather and grandmother? Or on Elizabeth Palmer (Abraham's wife) and her father David Palmer? I have his wife as Katrine Bull, but don't have a shred of proof on that. I do have some proof on David and Elizabeth.
