My ancestor Samuel was by his testimony in a revolutionary war pension claim born in Rehoboth MA in 1760. I think his father was Nathan born 1729 in that area. I can find no confirmation of the birth of Samuel. Samuel married Polly Holmes (where?) and moved to Maine after the war and eventually settled in Brooks where he had a number of children apparently including: Samuel born 1788 Poland ME Joseph born 1789 Nathan born 1791 Barzella born 1793 Levi born 1796 Mary born 1798 Asa born 1802 I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can give more info on this line. I can not locate Thomas and family on 1860 census where he should be in or around the area of Titus County, TX.
