Johnson 1900: Sid Johnson Piblisher, Tyler, Tx Chapter LXVII pages 280-281. Their children are: 1) Samuel Bowen b. 1835 in Miss. according to (1850 Smith Co. Census Records. 2) William C. Bowen b. 1836 in Miss. married Francis. 3) Ewing Bowen b. 1838 in Miss. d. 11-19-1923. Married Mary Ann Milton. 4) Matilda E. Bowen b. 06-03-1845 in Miss. d. 11-02-1916 in Hopkins Co. Tx. Married Thomas Newton Blaylock 11-10-1866. 5) **George Washington Bowen b.09-22-1846, d. 05-09-1927 in Falfuris, Tx. Married Emily Ann Daniel 02-25-1869.** My husban's side of the family. 6) Mary E. Bowen b. 1850. 7) John H. Bowen b. 05-19-1851, d. 04-13-1901. Married Serena Ragland 09-07-1873 in Hopkins Co. TX. 8) Lucinda Bowen b. 1852 9) James P. Figures I likely come down from the black sheep if Peter is Not listed in mothers will :) With this info I will try and see what more I can learn on Peter's siblings and older generations.     3. My ancestor Samuel was by his testimony in a revolutionary war pension claim born in Rehoboth MA in 1760. I think his father was Nathan born 1729 in that area. I can find no confirmation of the birth of Samuel. Samuel married Polly Holmes (where?) and moved to Maine after the war and eventually settled in Brooks where he had a number of children apparently including: Samuel born 1788 Poland ME Joseph born 1789 Nathan born 1791 Barzella born 1793 Levi born 1796 Mary born 1798 Asa born 1802 I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can give more info on this line.
